  • Ultra-low power design — cuts current consumption by up to 80% vs previous generation LPWA modules (HL78™ series), extending device battery life by up to four times.  
  • Built-in edge processing — the integrated low-power MCU removes the need for a separate host microcontroller, saving space, power, and cost. 
  • Flexible connectivity options — supports Cat-M, NB-IoT, short range radio protocols and even non-terrestrial network (NTN) fallback* for hard-to-reach deployments. 
  • Longevity: Based on 3GPP’s Release 14/15/16/17* to future proof deployments and enable device longevity.

Embracing SGP.32: Advancements in IoT eSIM Technology 

What better tradeshow than Embedded World to demonstrate the latest “eSIM - embedded SIM” standard from the GSM Association?
Its latest incarnation, named “SGP.32”, introduces enhanced flexibility, security and scalability in Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) for IoT devices. Semtech demonstrated our commitment to this advancement with live demonstrations of SGP.32's capabilities within our cellular modules and connectivity offerings. These demos featured IoT Profile Provisioning using both "IPAd" (IoT Profile Assistant inside the module) and "IPAe" (IoT Profile Assistant inside the eSIM). This dual approach ensures seamless and secure profile management, catering to diverse deployment scenarios.
 
 

Hybrid Connectivity in Action: How Net Feasa Keeps Global Assets Visible 

Another recurring topic of discussion among our visitors was the increasing adoption of hybrid connectivity strategies which are increasingly vital for assets requiring global coverage, particularly in asset tracking.
